There are more than 365 members! So just imagine what great diversity has shown up to our meetings already. Bring your unique gift to the group and share it. Give people a chance to get to know you a bit. There have been some lasting friendships that have come out of this group already. People meeting people of like mind. That's what it's all about. That, and this journey that is called "schoolhouse Earth."

There's always something cool that comes from these meetings. Always stuff to get you thinking... always stuff to EXPAND your awareness and spark your imagination... Washte. Lakota for 'it is good.'

So here's the deal. We're all adults, and so you guys will have to take some level of responsibility to, as I may not be there many times. I'm just too busy right now. So you guys can meet and hang out and have it be an open forum, or vote on a topic - whatever.

> Either vote on topics for the day - anyone can suggest topics to be voted on... OR you agree that your just going to have an open discussion on whatever.

> You guys must make sure to pass around the donation bowl for the Center. They have numerous mortgages as they provide shelter for homeless people. What greater work can there be! So I love supporting this place by having the group there. But it only works if we all take the responsibility to make sure the donation bowl gets passed around. We're each there for two or three hours. A single yoga class costs at least $8 for one hour. So please be conscious of our responsibility to be good stewards of the homeless through our giving to Trish and her wonderful Center.

> That brings up the next point. I usually like the group to go wherever it seems to be going on a given day unless we had a specific topic planned and that's why people are there. But my point is actually to say that we're in Trish's place, and it should go without saying that if she feels the need to step in and ask someone to take a breath, or anything else - she's the boss. We're in her place and it is a gift.

> It seems to me that if people RSVP their intent to go, then anyone else considering going can see if there are going to definitely be people there or not. If no one is RSVP'd then that might change someone's decision to come. Now it should be obvious that the earlier in the week people RSVP, the more other people will sign up. It's your group, and it's way cool to meet so many very cool personalities. Try it - you'll like it. :)

Are you holistic? metaphysical? Spiritual? Liberal? Creative? A free thinker? A Blue Ray or Indigo? Have you ever had an Out of Body? Lucid dream? Shamanic journey? Swam with the dolphins? Spoken with your Spirit guides? Seen a ghost or heard a departed one? We're all cool people and there's lots of great stuff to explore. So I invite you guys to go for it, and let's see where it goes. Sounds like a great experiment to me!

So right now I'm thinking I'll just post this same note for every week, and I may or may not be there. People can still suggest topics to me which I could post to all the members, but a better idea - I believe there's a way for me to turn on an emailing option where anyone in our group can email anyone else in the group. I'd like to give that a try. You may have a setting in your Meetup profile where you can either allow or disallow others from emailing you, other than the group's Organizer - me. I'm just guessing. But it would be a way for anyone to propose a topic for the coming week or two weeks out. If I get a few complaints that it's being abused by people trying to sell stuff, then I'm going to turn it off. So don't use the group email to sell please.

Peace and blessings on our journey together and on each his own,
Cole

Metaphysics and This Time of Quickening on Planet Earth

Somehow the location got changed. This next meeting will be at the same location as the last two meetings - Edgewater Library.

A time of "quickening" is a time of accelerated growth and awakening. There is an acceleration happening right now, as reflected by the calendar built into the structure of the Great Pyramid at Giza, Egypt, that ends in 2012. Then there is the Mayan calendar, which also ends in 2012. The Hopi Indians of the southwest call the time that we are in now the time of the "Great Purification." They say that we are at the "close of the Fourth World, about to walk through the doorway to the Fifth." There is a website which offers (for free,) thousands of pages of both scientific and spiritual sources that support the contention that we are headed for an "ascension event" in our lifetimes. This ties into the dawning of the "age of Aquarius," and the thousand year period of peace, as prophesized by every major world religion.

Cole will present a whole frame of reference, or context for understanding this amazing time we are living in. This will be a series of discussions to help people understand:

> The reflectivity of life. As above-so below; Seek and you shall find; Ask and you shall receive; We reap what we sow; Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. See the mirror in the middle of each of these statements? See the reflectivity?
> We draw to ourselves a reflection of our own attitudes, beliefs, fears, expectations, and all that we hold in denial.
> How to heal on a spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical level.
> How to work with spiritual laws to flow with the river instead of against it. How to ride the wave of this time of purification to your own healing and awakening.
> Working with affirmations, visualization, manifesting, and prayer to be a conscious co-creator in your life.
> What is coming our way during this time and appropriate preparation.

RSVP is required so we can be sure to have enough seating for everyone. These discussions will work totally on a donation-basis. The cost is whatever feels right for you, based on the value of the discussions to you, and your budget. It is strongly suggested, however, that you come from the beginning, as a whole frame of reference will be built from the ground-up. Hop onto the train of your own personal acceleration. The time is upon us.

The next discussion will be noon on Saturday, April 14, 2007.

Cole can be reached at wakingupnow@bellsouth.net

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Peace,
Cole

Here's a new idea for the Orlando Metaphysics Meetup Group: Let's see what happens if we just have standing, weekly meetings. There's no reason why I should need to be there every week. This simplifies things greatly.

I asked Fred to share this last meeting and it was, in my opinion, excellent. Great info, and Fred has been around the brahmavidya path (from India) for more than 30 years. So it was cool to hear him share... Others as well. There's always something cool that comes from these meetings. Always stuff to get you thinking... always stuff to EXPAND your awareness and spark your imagination... Washte. Lakota for 'it is good.'

So here's the deal. We're all adults, and so you guys will have to take some level of responsibility to...

> Either vote on topics for the day - anyone can suggest topics to be voted on... OR you agree that you're just going to have an open discussion on whatever.

If it turns out that there is no ability for any member to email the group, then plan B is that any of you can already post stuff on the group's Bulletin Board. So you could all be logging onto the Metaphysics group site and checking the Bulletin Board to see what's going on for the coming week. We'll see how this one plays out...
