It's time for an August event. This month our guest is Jill A. La Liberte.

A child riding his bike down the street is suddenly hit by a car. An ambulance arrives at the scene. While the child is not seriously injured, his leg is going to need a cast. As the EMT is bandaging his leg, the child’s mother arrives on the scene. The EMT can cure his leg from the accident, but it’s the mother’s loving touch that will heal him. So what’s the difference? “Curing” takes place on the physical level, while “healing” takes place on the emotional/spiritual level. Jill will explore the important role that love and compassion play in the healing process. She will also discuss the root of all disease, famous healers in history, and will end the session with a group healing meditation.

Jill A. La Liberte is a nationally board certified and licensed acupuncturist. She earned a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This included certification in Clean Needle Technique. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Management from the University of Michigan. Jill is in the process of completing an additional three-year program in Five Element acupuncture, is a certified Reiki II practitioner, astrologer, and has taken continuing education training in pediatric care, sinus and allergy conditions, and esoteric acupuncture. Jill is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
