Homeless Outreach Downtown 7:15pm - 9pm

Join us on Tuesdays nights when we are going out into the streets of San Diego to deliver meals and clothes to the homeless of San Diego. We will meet in the parking lot at the corner of 3rd Street and Elm Street downtown San Diego at 7:15 PM sharp. Once there, we divide up the food that the volunteers have brought for that night and decide how to split up into teams and where to go. This will be a joint effort with The Rock Church who has a fabulous Homeless Ministry so there will be LOTS more people show up than is shown here.

What to bring:
Bring cases of water, juice boxes, bananas (soft fruit is best because many homeless do not have healthy teeth), tacos from Jack In The Box (or Del Taco on Tuesday nights), and any other food items such as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cookies, boiled eggs or granola bars. It's wise to bring pre-packaged foods that will not go stale and can stay unrefrigerated. Donated clothes, jackets, shoes, blankets, sleeping bags; as well as socks, underwear, undershirts and toiletries are always appreciated.

The Homeless Ministry aims to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless on the streets of San Diego. We will be joining the efforts of the Rock Church Homeless Ministry who does this every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights downtown. You can go any of these nights and they will be there.
