Acid causes our blood to turn into "sludge". This slows down oxygen delivery which means our body will not work effeciently. Specifically, it causes fatigue and makes it harder to burn fat. By taking in more alkaline foods, you can reverse this, increase oxygen delivery, increase energy, and make it easier to burn more fat instead of sugar (there must be oxygen present to burn fat in our bodies).
